What is an MEP Audit?

An MEP Audit evaluates the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services that keep a building safe, comfortable and operational—from HVAC and electrical distribution to water supply and drainage infrastructure.

Agni Suraksha conducts a coordinated, system-by-system review to identify inefficiencies, maintenance concerns, compliance gaps and safety risks before they become costly operational problems. The audit considers applicable requirements, including NBC 2016 Part 8 (Building Services), alongside the needs of your facility.

Audit Coverage

Mechanical, electrical & plumbing—together

We evaluate how each system performs individually and how they interact across your building.

Mechanical Systems

Review of HVAC equipment, ventilation, cooling and related mechanical services for condition, capacity adequacy, performance and energy efficiency.

  • HVAC equipment condition
  • Cooling and ventilation performance
  • Capacity and operational adequacy
  • Maintenance and energy-efficiency opportunities

Electrical Systems

Assessment of electrical distribution, panels, switchgear and connected building services for condition, safety and applicable compliance.

  • Distribution-system condition
  • Panels, switchgear and protection
  • Electrical loading and service interfaces
  • Electrical safety audit coordination where deeper review is required

Plumbing Systems

Inspection of water supply, drainage, fixtures and associated infrastructure to identify condition, compliance and reliability concerns.

  • Water-supply infrastructure
  • Drainage and sewage arrangements
  • Fixture condition and operational performance
  • Leakage, maintenance and compliance concerns
Integrated Review

Beyond individual systems

Building services depend on one another. Our MEP Audit looks for cross-system issues that are easy to miss in isolated inspections.

  • HVAC electrical demand, controls and equipment connections
  • Drainage arrangements that may affect electrical rooms or critical equipment
  • Fire and life-safety service interfaces
  • Plant-room layout, access, maintenance and operational coordination
  • Performance issues that affect comfort, safety or operating costs

Compliance & operational assurance

The assessment is tailored to the building, installed systems and statutory requirements relevant to your site. Where a deeper discipline-specific review is needed, we can recommend a dedicated electrical or water audit.

Your deliverable: a clear MEP report with findings, priorities and recommendations that can guide maintenance and capital planning.
Our Process

From inspection to improvement

01

Scope & Information Review

We understand the building, systems, operating priorities and available records before finalising the audit scope.

02

System Inspection

Our multi-disciplinary team inspects the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and records site observations.

03

Analysis & Gap Assessment

We assess condition, performance, compliance and cross-system dependencies to identify the most important issues.

04

Report & Improvement Plan

You receive system-by-system findings, prioritised recommendations and an implementation approach aligned to your operations.

What you gain

  • Improved reliability and performance of building services
  • Early identification of maintenance, safety and compliance gaps
  • Reduced risk of disruptive equipment or utility failures
  • Opportunities to improve energy and water efficiency
  • Better occupant comfort and operational continuity
  • A practical, prioritised plan for corrective action

What influences audit cost?

We provide a fixed-fee proposal after reviewing the scope and the building-services information available.

  • Building size, number of floors and service areas
  • Age, condition and complexity of installed MEP systems
  • Availability of drawings, asset lists and maintenance records
  • Access requirements and operating hours
  • Required testing, measurements or specialist investigations
  • Whether the engagement includes a dedicated Electrical Safety Audit or Water Audit
